Lanna proved too strong for the Lanna Thais as both sides continued to prepare for the long-awaited Chiang Mai Senior League but it was another enjoyable high-scoring match at Gymkhana and there were signs that Lanna Thais could be competitive as Matt Bray scored fifty and Richard Young also made runs down the order.

The senior side made an excellent 193 for 5 in 25 overs as runs were shared around with Jason Bray scoring runs at the top of the innings and newcomer Hugh C impressed with 36. Sam is showing signs of improvement with the bat and Shine finished the innings off with a hard-hitting 39. Min was the pick of the bowlers with 2 for 16 from 3 overs but ten bowlers were used with Jun and Richard Young held back to give everybody a chance.

Lanna Thais also made a good effort with the bat as Matt Bray showed his undoubted class to score his first fifty in Chiang Mai cricket but the boys also did well. Although Jun fell early, Min made 16 and Ong 22 as they again showed off the results of their hard work in the nets.

The senior side won by 53 runs but Lanna again produced a competitive match with young and old alike all getting a chance to play on a Sunday afternoon.
